SCAMMER is a collection of 555 artworks minted as ERC-721 NFTs that live on Ethereum. Each SCAMMER consists of a unique image, name and etymology and is connected to a piece of unreleased music from Amnesia Scanner.
The music is unlocked by minting SCAMMERs, one piece at a time. Prior to minting the individual sound to be unlocked is a surprise, but you can get some hints through the waveform and five attributes of each SCAMMER: Chaos, Bang, Depth, Juice and BPM.
The visual art is created by PWR. The art is based on an exquisite-corpse-from-hell motif Amnesia Scanner and PWR have been deploying during the latest cycle of their joint work. All SCAMMER images are new, created for this purpose. It doubles as your SCAMMER identity, a chance for a fresh start. Use it on your fake ID, print it, touch it, smell it... and use it in the SCAMMER Discord.

Once all 555 SCAMMERs have been minted the full music library will be made available to SCAMMER holders as lossless WAVs. Additionally, the JAMMER zone will unlock. JAMMER V1.0 is an MPC-style interface through which anyone can create interesting sets of the musical elements, play with them and share their selections with others.
A maximum of 555 standard SCAMMERs can ever be minted. However, SCAMMERs give holders a right to vote on 5 additional high-status BOSS SCAMMERs. These will be minted with new pieces of music that have been created using the SCAMMER musical elements and voted on by the community. Both community members and prospects will be eligible to submit their creations to the BOSS SCAMMER quest. Community coordination happens on token-gated channels on the SCAMMER Discord server.

Access to the public sale has been given and communicated in a tiered manner with the goal of reaching a fair and balanced distribution between fans, friends, enthusiasts and collectors.
Amnesia Scanner is a music duo, performing arts group, xperienz design studio and production house founded in 2013.
In addition to creating bangers at the intersection of cyberrock, avant EDM and doombahton, Amnesia Scanner is interested in how the contemporary experience is mediated, including the ways in which listening to music and live performance is evolving as streaming platforms become dominant and the feedback channels between artists and fans become more direct.
Amnesia Scanner is known for their high intensity live shows. They have performed across festivals and venues across the world as well as staged work at art institutions such as ICA London, HKW Berlin, Lafayette Anticipations in Paris and the Serpentine Gallery Marathon in London.
Amnesia Scanner released their first NFT project AS Key in 2018. They have performed at a number of cryptoraves, like Ravecon0 @ Devcon 4 in Prague, 2018.

PWR is a studio for memetic design, image manipulation and narrative engineering. They work on self-initiated projects or in collaboration with entities such as Drain Gang, Uniswap, Katja Novitskova, RaveDAO, Balenciaga, Yung Lean, Kaleidoscope, Travess Smalley, Guild, Holly Herndon, Guggenheim Bilbao and Trust.
In 2015 they presented a sketch towards a on-chain publication system called txtblock at the New Museum in New York.
Once the sale has concluded we will launch JAMMER V1.0 and make the music available as full quality WAVs for all SCAMMER holders. JAMMER's development continues after its launch.
Additionally, we will open a pathway for non-SCAMMER holders to request for access to WAVs to support their quest to mint a BOSS SCAMMER. We will release more information on the BOSS SCAMMER quest on our Discord once the sale has concluded.

Beyond the plans stated above, we have many ideas where to take SCAMMERs in the near future. And in the spirit of early access games, we want to involve the SCAMMER community in guiding the project. *But* we cannot make any promises of specific developments at this stage! You should acquire SCAMMERs as they are and consider any future utility a nice surprise 😈
SCAMMERs are offspring of AS Keys, an NFT series created in 2018 by the Amnesia Scanner, PWR, Cory Levinson and Louis Center. View the collection on Open Sea.
The series was distributed over local Wi-Fi to attendees of an Amnesia Scanner show at Unsound 2018 in Krakow, Poland. Users had to converse with a chaotic chatbot to submit their email address which was used to (anonymously) collect Ethereum addresses for an airdrop.
An additional 20 AS Keys were later distributed to friends and collaborators. A total of 51 AS Keys have been minted. Each AS Key came with a unique generative “crust punk patch” -esque graphic and gave access to a token-gated vault on the Amnesia Scanner web page. The content of the vault remains a secret to this day.
AS Keys were an early experiment in token-gated communities with proof-of-location characteristics. All addresses that held an AS Key during a snapshot taken on Friday 13th of August 2021 are eligible to mint a free SCAMMER. Prior to SCAMMER.MARKET’s public launch we have done our best to inform the AS Key community of their airdrop eligibility.
